Hp Laserjet P1006 Firmware Update Utility

Hp Laserjet Firmware Update Utility

Can I update the firmware on my LaserJet P2055dn from Windows 10 64-bit on a USB connection? I can't find the firmware update utility on the HP site. I would appreciate any advice.

Gemini02, thanks for replying. I think this is the first we hear from HP in this thread, very much appreciated. However, you seem to misunderstand the issue: It's not that the updater program wouldn't run on a particular version of Mac OS; the problem is that the disk image (in dmg format) won't even mount because it's corrupted. This has nothing to do with the OS version; the dmg format has been unchanged for a very long time (possibly since the first version of OS X) and is compatible with all versions of the OS. I also note that on the download page, there is also a generic selection 'Mac OS X', without a particular version. All selections (generic/10.6/10.6/10.7) lead to the same download, which is the corrupted dmg file. (As it happens, I actually tried it on a machine with 10.7, and of course it fails in the same way as on more recent installs.

Besides, I would be surprised if the updater itself, should we eventually get it, was specific to the OS version. All we need is the firmware updater in a format that is actually readable. Your explanation, that it's for an older version of the OS, does not explain the problem we're seeing. The error message is that the disk image is corrupt. Building The Dream Gwendolyn Wright Pdf Printer. The format of a disk image has not changed during all of OSX.
